MONROE — In Mrs. Eckroat’s 3rd grade class, students are studying Holidays Around the World. They’ve learned about Christmas in Italy, Diwali in India, and are now learning about Hanukkah in Israel. The children are wrapping up their Israel stay with a great table game of Dreidel!

Mission Statement

The ‘Thankful Tree’ was an idea brought to Ms. Renee Gavigan (Art), Mrs. Sarah Judd (Principal), and Mr. Aaron Heim (Guidance Counselor) by Tess Lange. Tess and her mom came after school one day and worked together with Ms. Gavigan to create the tree poster. Students and staff were then able to write something they were thankful for on a leaf and it was placed on the tree.

Thank you to Tess and her family for bringing this wonderful opportunity to Abe students and staff!
