FREEPORT - Highland Community College Theatre Department and the Freeport VietNow Organization will present the award-winning play "A Piece of my Heart" by Shirley Lauro.
The production will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 5 and June 6 at the Ferguson Fine Arts Center.
VietNow will be offering a steak-sandwich supper before the play. All proceeds are intended to raise funds for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in the All Veterans Memorial Park.
The Play is a stylized presentation of the combined and individual experiences of six young women who went to serve in Viet Nam in the 1960s.
