BRODHEAD - The Brodhead Clergy Association is sponsoring "A Musical Extravaganza" that will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2 at the Congregational United Church of Christ.
The program will feature local church choirs, soloists and a couple of surprises. Following the concert there will be a spaghetti dinner served with salad, bread, dessert and beverages.
The concert will feature a wide variety of music including both secular and sacred selections. Singers from across the area will perform selections from musicals, folk songs, sacred anthems and popular music, as well as Christmas tunes.
There will be a free will offering taken during the concert and the suggested donation for the dinner is $5. Children 10 and under are free. All proceeds will benefit Family Promise of Green County.
Family Promise has been serving the homeless families of Green County for over a year. They have served 15 adults and 24 children the past 12 months.
Many local churches are participating as host churches and partner churches. Homeless families are provided a safe place to stay, meals and support as they prepare to move back into an apartment or home.
More information is available by contacting Rev. Tiff Bates at (608) 897-2917.
