ORANGEVILLE — The Mighty Richland Players in Orangeville have added one more performance for their Christmas production of, “A Charlie Brown Christmas” at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.
Charlie Brown, Sally, Lucy, Linus, Pig Pen, Schroeder, Violet, Frieda, Snoopy, Woodstock and Peppermint Patty have come to help us remember what Christmas is all about. Although they all have their ideas about Christmas, the Peanuts gang agrees how commercial it has become. As Charlie Brown searches for the true meaning of the holiday, he stumbles over what it has become; a season full of letters to Santa, decorated trees, carols and presents.
This is the last weekend of performances for the show. A dessert show will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30.
Since the theater is working to raise money for exterior upkeep costs, it will be presenting a fundraiser dinner show at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. Tickets include the performance and a traditional holiday meal served family style. Reservations are required by Friday, Nov. 30.
A special children’s matinee will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2. Tickets will include the opportunity to come on stage and take a picture with any of our cast in front of the Christmas tree.
All shows require reservations. For information on tickets or the show, call 815-819-1310. For information on the theater, 203 West High Street, visit mightyrichlandplayers.org. Doors will open a half hour before the performance.
