MONROE — The 4-H Day in the Arts contest gives youth an opportunity to express their creativity, while also developing skills in a supportive and encouraging environment. There is no cost to participate, and 4-H membership is not required.
The 4-H Day in the Arts contest is open to youth in 5K through one year past high school. The contest will have nine divisions — vocal, instrumental, dance, drama, speaking, demonstration, arts and crafts, photography and Cloverbuds (for grades 5K-2 only). Entries are limited to a total of five entries, with a limit of two entries per division.
This year the contest will be virtual, with all entries submitted digitally by March 7 at http://bit.ly/3aCmeEr. All performances and exhibits must have been performed, completed or taken after Oct. 1, 2020. Each submission will be evaluated and provided written constructive feedback and a certificate of participation.
There will also be a virtual celebration and public viewing of all the art submissions on March 21, in which youth are welcome to invite friends and family to participate.
