JUDA - The 29th annual Toy and Tractor Show will be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Juda Community Center and Firehouse in downtown Juda.
This year the community event will spotlight Paul Matzke's 1972 International Cub Tractor with loader, and the theme of the show is "Drive your tractor to town."
There will be a kids pedal tractor pull at noon with four different age groups contending. Prizes and trophies will be awarded in each age group. A raffle drawing will be held for pairs of tickets to the Green County Fall Nationals Truck and Tractor Pull set for Sept. 24 at the Green County Fairgrounds. There will be a silent auction for items donated by local businesses and exhibitors from the toy show.
An antique tractor show will be open to anyone wanting to display a tractor. Cash prizes are to be awarded in three categories: restored, working, and mortified. Interested owners should register tractors by 10 a.m.
A stand serving breakfast will be in operation from 9 to 11 a.m. and will then switch over to lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring Koning BBQ, Schoep's Ice Cream and Blumers Root Beer, along with other items.
