DARLINGTON - The Lafayette County Land Conservation and Zoning Department will be accepting sign-ups for cost sharing on conservation practices through March 1. Applications after that period may not receive funding for 2018.
Pending funding availability, the following conservation practices may be cost shared: access roads; animal trails and walkways; critical area stabilization; diversions; grade stabilization structure; grassed waterways; heavy use protection; manure storage with maximum of $10,000; manure storage abandonment; nutrient management at $10/acre up to four years; roofing of barnyards and heavy use areas; roof runoff systems; spring development; sinkhole treatment; streambank protection; stream crossing; terraces; well abandonment; and wetland restoration.
Most conservation practices receive up to 70 percent cost share if not specified above.
