MONROE — On June 11, Kathy Stickfort former Kathy Mueller did her Centenarian ride. That means horse and Rider equals 100 years.

She did it on Chermedel May Starlet, a 75% Arabian mare she had raised and still owns. Stickfort's late husband Carl and their four daughters Megan, Chelsea, Erica and Delta had Chermedel  Farm. That's where they raised Arabians half Arabians and Welsh ponies that were kid raised and mother approved. May is now being used as a lesson horse at Kathy's friend Kelly Christine's Dragon Fire Dancing Horses stable.

Kathy still rides and drives but has a made a change to Friesian crosses. She has passed her love to horses to her daughters and now grandsons. They go to local shows where they compete.

If anyone wants to see them compete, go to Prairie du Chien from September 5-7 for Carriage Classics, which is largest driving show in the Midwest.
