A brief synopsis:
In the summer of 1978, the dead body of a very wealthy widow was discovered in her home by the cleaning lady. Police Chief Brandon Johns and Det. Samantha Gates are called to investigate. They soon discover that a murder has been committed and begin their investigation interviewing family members.
Their theory is that inheritance money is a strong motive for murder and concentrates their efforts on a very dysfunctional family steeped in lies, deception and distrust. As the investigation continues, more suspects are brought into the frame. To complicate matters, a potential eyewitness appears. The elderly octogenarian woman who lives alone with her cat is hard of hearing, paranoid, and suffers from memory issues.
With all this head-scratching information, will they get a break in the case to solve the murder and bring the killer to justice?
