Expanding on Mr. Rufener's letter:
His attempt to get people to look at the candidate's background is noble, something that should be standard practice for American voters.
When candidate Obama hit the scene, I was surprised to find that the media was not vetting this person as they have others. When it was reported that he was a community organizer, red flags started flying in my mind. You see I worked with organizers during the 60s to "help the poor" and they were, to a person, Marxists. This prompted me to look into Obama's background.
I began with the right-wing news sites and verified all that was reported. I found their representation of this man was accurate. The same things reported by Dinesh O'Souza in the movie "2016." All his mentors were either small or capital "C" Communists. After he became president, he appointed people to important positions of government. Each and every one of them was/is left wing, liberal if you like, socialist if you don't; including one Van Jones, a self-described Communist.
The left has installed members or sympathetic persons in all the right places of power. Eight-five percent of media workers, and educators, are liberal. It is no secret why Obama caters to them, Mao in China did the same thing, as these people have influence over the populace. Then there are the lawyers and Judges who have influence on the legal systems, Congress and Legislatures. And don't count on those who receive government support to vote against the hand that feeds them.
Unfortunately people want to talk about everything but the two courses referred to by Obama but not stated. The choices are these: The nation as founded, regulated free markets, personal property, personal liberty and untold opportunity, or Obama's vision of a socialist state, one party, with total government control over our lives, our property, our incomes and our children. The choice is that simple: freedom or servitude.
If you want to learn more about what Obama and the Dems have planned for you, look into Agenda 21 and the Wildlands Project. This is a plan to capture 50 percent of our country's land for environmental conservation and control that land usage. The Democratic Socialists of America have a good website explaining what the future holds. Incidentally it claims cooperation with the Congressional Progressive Caucus which is led by Tammy Baldwin.
