Why would you vote for Obama?

To the editor:

After reading WARN Act, one example of how citizens are political pawns. It was printed in the Oct. 15, 2012 issue of Monroe Times. I ask these questions.

Why would the president of the United States tell the defense industry that they don't need to give their employees a 60-day notice before election? Would it be so they will vote for him?

Why would he tell the defense contractors they can ignore the WARN Act? It was a law passed by Congress. And why would he tell them if they are caught breaking that law he could have taxpayers cover their costs? Did he ask the taxpayers?

Why did Obama use executive privilege to block the release of thousands of White House documents related to the "Fast and Furious" scandal? Was "Fast and Furious" ordered by Obama to promote gun registration? Will gun registration lead to gun confiscation?

If Obama wins the election, will he then appoint more Supreme Court Justices who will vote to abolish the Second Amendment rights?

The $1.75 billion raised by the sale and taxation of hunting and fishing equipment is used by fish and wildlife agencies in every state. This helped restore the whitetail deer, it helps manage 3.5 million miles of rivers, 40.8 million acres of lakes and millions of acres of wetlands. If our government would take fishing and hunting rights away, would the government then fund the care of rivers, lakes, wetlands and wildlife?

Isn't government underfunding the National Parks and National Forests now?
