Walker tells the truth

To the editor:

Gov. Scott Walker tells the truth when he is talking to billionaire corporate backers: When he told a Beloit billionaire he would "divide and conquer" for political ends, she can believe him. Unfortunately the rest of us must know by now that our governor has been lying to us, he's been lying to the people of Wisconsin.

Walker keeps denying that his strategy is to destroy public sector unions including to make Wisconsin a "right to work" state. (What that really means is that wages will drop, benefits will drop as well. It has nothing to do with right to work.)

When the recent surfacing of the video with Beloit billionaire (and Koch brother strategist) Diane Hendricks, Walker is seen on video promising her that his attack on collective bargaining for public workers is only his first step. He tells Hendricks that he will use the strategy of "divide and conquer."

He never mentioned destroying jobs, public schools, the environment, women's rights, and the list goes on. We are still listed as the state with the most job losses (April, too). We are dead last for job creation.

The fact is Walker is driven by greed, by self interest. What is even worse is that he is not telling the people of Wisconsin the truth. Wisconsin cannot afford another two years of Walker. Vote June 5, vote Tom Barrett for governor and Mahlon Mitchell for lt. governor.
