How would you like to be truly proud of the person who represents us in the 51st Assembly District? Would you like it to be someone who listens to your concerns? Someone you can get to know, who you can trust to listen to you and who then takes action on your behalf? Someone who is hard working like you are? How about someone who is experienced in business? Someone who understands Wisconsin issues and their importance to each of us? Would you like to have a representative who pays attention to the special needs of rural schools and communities and stands up for what is right, rather than simply votes along the party line? Someone who is knowledgeable about and speaks up for the beliefs and convictions of the people who live, work, hope and dream in southwest Wisconsin?
"All politics is local" is a common phrase made famous by Tip O'Neill, former U.S. Speaker of the House. Think how often you've gone to vote without really knowing much about the individuals on the ballot. Amidst all of the brouhaha over national politics, we forget how vitally important our local and state government is, and particularly how our lives are impacted by decisions these representatives make on our behalf each time they cast a vote. This November, I urge you to vote your conscience - with your heart, and with your mind. I encourage you to vote for someone who is all of the above - someone who puts "People Before Politics." That someone is Maureen "Mo" May-Grimm.
