As we head into March, all of us at Green County Development Corporation (GCDC) are looking forward to one of our biggest events of the year — our 2025 Annual Dinner! This evening is always a special one, bringing together local businesses, community leaders, and residents to celebrate achievements, strengthen connections, and explore opportunities for growth in Green County.
This year’s dinner will take place on Thursday, March 20th, from 5-8 p.m. at Turner Hall in Monroe.
We’re excited to welcome Beth Haskovec from the Wisconsin State Office of Rural Prosperity as our keynote speaker. Beth will be sharing insights on how we can all play a role in unlocking Wisconsin’s full economic potential — leveraging our resources and working together to build a thriving and prosperous future for rural communities like ours.
Beyond the keynote speaker, our Annual Dinner is also a time to recognize the individuals, businesses, and organizations that have made a lasting impact on Green County. This year, we’ll be honoring recipients of three county awards:
● Outstanding Business of the Year — Recognizing a business that has gone above and beyond to contribute to Green County’s economic growth through innovation, job creation, investment, and long-term community support.
● Entrepreneurial Spirit Award — Celebrating an entrepreneur who embodies resilience, creativity, and a passion for business growth — someone who embraces challenges and seizes opportunities.
● Leadership Legacy Award — Honoring a community leader who exemplifies service leadership and has made a lasting impact through their dedication to our community.
One of the things I enjoy most about preparing for the Annual Dinner is the opportunity to step back and reflect on where we are — and where we’re headed. Right now, when I look around, I see so much opportunity in Green County.
It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day and forget that growth doesn’t happen without taking chances and embracing innovation. While Green County hasn’t experienced rapid growth over the past decade, I see that as an opportunity rather than a challenge. We have the chance to think creatively, explore new ideas, and work together to shape the future we want for our communities.
At the GCDC 2025 Annual Dinner, we’ll be celebrating what makes Green County great — and looking ahead to how we can turn today’s opportunities into tomorrow’s successes. Whether you’re a long-time business owner, an aspiring entrepreneur, or simply someone who cares about the future of our county, we’d love to have you join us for this inspiring evening.
