September is Chamber of Commerce Month! Let’s kick things off with the obvious! Thank you to the many businesses and organizations that make up the Chamber of Commerce and industry membership! We are over 325 members strong and in a year that has us all digging deep to keep things going, we could use a little brightness and optimism.
We have a new logo! Over the last couple of years, we have been wanting to truly represent our members through our logo. The Mission of our Chamber of Commerce has been “Setting the PACE of the Business Community: Through Promotion, Advocacy, Connection and Education.” We were happy to be able to work with Kim Berg of Fusion Fly to bring the important elements to our new logo creation.
The first thing we set up to accomplish was a return to the legal name of our entity. We are pleased to return to Monroe Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Secondly, we wanted to encompass the elements that make our organization so strong. The historic Green County Courthouse is the center of Monroe and will always be the heart of our city. We wanted to represent the agricultural beginnings of our community, businesses and tourism. We also wanted to show strengthen in manufacturing and industry that we are known for.
Lastly, you may notice the color change. We feel that the strong green fields represent the fertile soil and the economic impact that the Monroe Chamber of Commerce and Industry members have on our community. We Felt Chamber of Commerce Month was the perfect time to share the news. In upcoming months you will see our logo changing where ever you are used to seeing the traditional red-crested logo.

To show our appreciation, we are holding our 4th Annual Chamber of Commerce and Industry tail gate party on Friday, Sept. 18 from 2 to 6 p.m. We will have the Green County Ag Chest selling the most delicious Green County Dairy specialties, stop by and grab your favorite to take home and support our local dairy producers!
