In the 1980s, President Ronald Reagan fired the Air Traffic Controllers. (Strike one against the little guy.) George H. W. Bush kept the same policies of pushing the Middle Class workers down while padding the coffers of rich corporations and individuals. (Strike two against the little guy) Bill Clinton okayed NAFTA further eroding the good paying jobs of the working middle class. (Strike three against the little guy) George W. Bush lowered the taxes while starting a costly war, pushing us further into debt. (Strike four against the little guy) Now the Obama administration wants to let the tax breaks for the very affluent expire while keeping in place the breaks for those who are most in need of financial help (Strike one FOR the little guy).

Please tell me how our government can spend billions, billions on bailouts for financial institutions, insurance companies, and drug companies in this country and provide monetary backing and standing armies for the rest of the world and not ask those who can best afford to pay their fair share.

The tax policies of these great country were set up so that those of us who could best afford to pay would pay. This great country was built on the backs of those who were willing to work and sacrifice for the good of all.

Now those who have reaped the greatest wealth because of the diligence of the working class feel that they should not be forced to pay their fair share.

Don't you think it is time to strike one for those who gave so much for this great nation? It seems the Trickle Down Theory has only allowed the little guy to be "trickled on."
