Monroe
On behalf of the veterans of Green County, I want to heartily thank the Lions Clubs of Albany and Monroe and the Veterans Service Office of Green County for the Veterans Appreciation Dinner they provided on Nov. 5 at the Albany Lions Building in Albany, Wisconsin. In addition to the Lions and Veterans Service Office, there were many people involved in the planning, preparation, serving and cleaning up after the meal. Their efforts are noted and appreciated.
In addition to the food, veterans enjoyed renewing friendships and swapping stories of the service to the country. Through their blood, service and sacrifice, veterans have given us freedom, security and the greatest nation on earth. It is impossible to put a price on that. Showing our appreciation is a down payment to them.
