To the editor:
Many thanks - The week of Feb. 22 to 25, Tyler's TEAM foundation along with Jacob's SWAG Foundation brought Kyle Scheele, a youth motivational speaker into the Green County area schools. Our goal this year is bring a powerful message to our students about kindness, tolerance, acceptance and positive life choices. Kyle Scheele is an inspiring speaker, writer and youth expert who has challenged tens of thousands of teens across the nation to live better stories. He avoids the usual discussion of "don't do this, don't do that" and instead focuses on the positive choices that students can make to leave a positive impact on their classmates, school, community and world. Kyle challenges students to think about the things they can do now to start living an incredible life story.
Throughout the week he spoke to over 3,800 students and adults from the Green County area. Kyle traveled to Monroe, Brodhead, New Glarus, Black Hawk and Darlington to speak to students from eight area schools.
Scheele's presentation would not have been possible without your continued support to each of our foundations, Our Angels Among Us 5K Run/Walk and the Argyle Community Fund, the Black Hawk Excellence Endowment Fund, and the Monroe Fund, for the generous grants that our foundations have received throughout the year. Also a special thanks to a Monroe motel for the donation of a two-night stay for Scheele while he was in the area.
