To the editor:
On behalf of the farmers and vendors of Monroe's Market on the Square, I would like to thank the community for its support this past season. Abundant sources of fresh, pesticide-free produce and locally-produced farm products are increasingly more valuable as concerns over food safety and quality become more serious and widespread. Your support of local producers and artisans who in turn contribute to Green County and surrounding counties' economy ultimately benefits everyone. Thank you for a great year.
Although the outdoor market has ended for the season, the Winter Market will be open the third Saturday of every month through the winter in the Masonic Temple on the north side of the Square. We hope that you will come out and continue to support your neighbors - the farmers, cooks, and crafters who fill this valuable niche in our community.
