To the editor:
I'm supporting and voting for State Assembly Rep. Kelda Roys in the Democratic primary for the 2nd Congressional District. The primary is effectively the election because the district is so Democratic.
The reasons I'm supporting Kelda include: 1. She is an environmentalist and a progressive. 2. There are not enough women in Congress. With Tammy Baldwin running for the U.S. Senate, we need to replace her with another women. 3. She voted against Gov. Walker's corporate giveaways while her Democratic opponent voted for them. 4. She is considered Tammy's protégé and she considers Tammy her mentor. 5. She is not accepting any corporate PAC money. 6. She supports a single payer universal health care system. 7. She favors recommitting to a free, high quality education at every level, including college. 8. She favors investing in renewable and sustainable energies.
I encourage you to support and vote for Kelda Roys for Congress on Aug. 14.
