From The Bel Canto Singers
Monroe
A big thank you from the Bel Canto Singers to everyone who helped make our Christmas concert a success, and to everyone who came to hear the concert.
St. Victor Church, with its superb acoustics, wonderful organ and beautiful sanctuary, was a great setting for this concert, which has become a real Christmas tradition in Monroe.
We'd like to thank our instrumental soloists, organist Deb Krauss Smith, saxophonist Deb Krattiger, and harpist Patricia Thorngate.
We are very grateful for the special support of the Monroe Arts Center and the generous help with publicity of The Monroe Times and WEKZ. Thanks, too, to Union Presbyterian Church for providing rehearsal space for us for many years.
Most of all, thanks to our inspiring director, Allen Redford, who has made Bel Canto much more than the sum of its parts.
Our next concert will be May 15 at the Monroe Arts Center, featuring music of Patrick Beckman and the Ancora String Quartet.
