Both candidates did their best to convince voters that they are the one to get the United States out of the economic mess it is in. But to my mind, Barack Obama did the best job of explaining the reasons why we are in this financial crisis. He may not have every answer right now (who does?), but he understands that the deregulation of Wall Street got us here. You can't fix a problem if you don't know what caused it in the first place. And the cause in this case was the economic policies of John McCain and George Bush.
