More votes, fewer coups to solve problems

What's wrong with Honduras is what is wrong with the world. A military takeover? What's wrong with having an election? They even have elections in Iran. They are trying to decide if all the votes were counted.

Look at what happened in Minnesota concerning a Senate race. Sen. Al Franken won after months of counting and legal procedures, but still the system worked. There was no need for a military takeover. After all, the strength of any government is the Congress. I believe that holds true on a federal, state or local level. Look at the problem they're having in California. The state is going bankrupt, because they are refusing to raise the state income tax. While I believe all debates are going to have to be solved democratically, they are going to have to be talked about.

A lot of these debates are going to have to start in the local coffee shop because, after all, these are the people who pay the taxes and salaries. At some point, it will move up to the media and the way Twitter was involved in Iran. Now, here is what's going on in the state of Wisconsin, where our governor used the so-called "Frankenstein" veto. I was under the impression that this legislation was abolished.

Somehow, we probably have too many lawyers, lobbyists and consultants, telling us how to spend our money. We're doing all this and at the same time, we're trying to figure out how Bernard Madoff got away with so much money. What the world needs is a lot more talk and a lot less military coups.

You can't keep borrowing money, without telling the taxpayer what's going on. At some point, these billionaires and a lot of them hide their money offshore, have to contribute into the system as well. Otherwise, the middle class will just be taxed out of existence, by shifting all the taxes from the income tax to the local property tax. All this, while the home values are falling because of a bad banking problem.
