To the Editor:

Today, 50% of law school students are women but in Wisconsin only 20% of our Judges are women. It is meaningful to me that our remaining two judicial candidates are women. I think highly of them both. Jane Bucher has earned my vote on the basis of her extensive courtroom experience in our local circuit courts and her long term commitment to our community. Jane is ready to be a judge because of her deep knowledge of how our courts operate. She’s in the courtroom every day. She also has knowledge of how to improve our courts and make them more fair. Her leadership in helping bring the first Treatment Court to Green County is one example of her proven ability to get things done. We also benefit from judges who are actively involved in the larger community.  Jane and her husband are raising their two boys, ages 4 and 6, here and volunteer for numerous Green County organizations. On April 6, I will be casting my vote for Jane Bucher for Judge. I urge my fellow Green County residents to join me.
