To the Editor:
I would like to thank the many residents of Monroe and the surrounding area, as well as the City of Monroe, and Monroe Main Street, for the great effort of putting up all the beautiful holiday lights and decorations! I know it can be a fair bit of work and I want you to know that I appreciate it. I appreciate it so very much! Every single one of you, truly, I thank you! You just can’t know how much it blesses me and everyone who sees them. All who see your lights and decorations, I believe, are blessed. It brings joy and hope and delight to me to see the beauty of the colorful lights. It reminds me of this: God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. (1 John 1:5) And also this: The light shines in the darkness but the darkness does not comprehend it. (John 1:5) It is understood that this is the Season of Lights because Jesus came into the world of darkness to bring us the true Light. So, thank you, Monroe and thank you fellow citizens. Merry Christmas!
May your hearts be blessed today as you experience the True Light, Jesus, who has come into the world.
