Wartenweiler: Republicans are the only clear choice this November
Letter To The Editor

From Bill Wartenweiler

Monroe

To the Editor:

In the past I’ve always thought Mr. Waelti and Mr. Wellington were pretty smart cookies. You know, Doctor-Lawyer types who are intelligent and articulate. As political pundits, however, I recommend they stick to their day-jobs.

One says Kamala Harris is a “breath of fresh air”. Are you kidding me? She was handpicked for VP because she is a woman of color and would garner votes from people who want a woman president and various minorities. She has no leadership qualities or high moral standards.

The other says Liz Cheney is the poster-child for Republicans leaving the GOP. For starters Liz was run out of Wyoming by the voters who recognized a phony politician. Just like her old man, the status quo is preferred regardless of the party in power. They all wallow in the swamp filling their pockets from corrupt deals and insider trading.

A better example of someone changing party affiliation would be Robert Kennedy Jr. The Kennedy family has been the foundation of the Democratic party for years. He now endorses Trump because he realizes the Democratic party has changed drastically. They were the party of the people who supported workers, education, health care and social services. Today they host a bunch of scary ideas including: redo the constitution, eliminate the supreme court, rewrite history to CRT standards, killing unborn children at your convenience, open borders, noncitizens can vote, electric cars, strict gun laws, drag-queens leading story time for kids, men compete in women’s sports, support for Palestinian protesters, dumping money into Ukraine like they are going to defeat Russia and limiting Israel in her efforts to defend itself from terrorists. The list goes on but in this economy the cost of printer ink is too high. Be sure to vote and this time around Republicans seem to be the best choice by far.
