Vance: My last letter to the editor
letter to the editor stock

From Diana Vance

To the Editor:

This will be my final letter to editor. I know there is always more that we could talk about. But I have asked my boss if I could publish some letters from you, my readers. Do not panic because each letter I will use I asked the writer if that is okay. It is my hope that when you read these letters you will be impressed with the kind of people who live outside this newspaper. And I can honestly say they represent 95 percent of you. This is extremely important because we all live in a democracy where we choose our leaders. To be a good chooser we all must pay attention to what kind of person is running for the job to represent us and our values and have some bravery in his or her spirit. All of these letters came from people who said they did not care if the person who is running is handsome or not. Every one of these writers wrote that it was their knowledge of many ideas they hear are being discussed right now.

Each one of these candidates took a turn standing up and gave a good reason why they supported or did not support whatever the law was being presented before them. And each could talk of what they knew about the people they represented.

Some people said they thought the followers were doing just that — following. So to make sure that is not happening, I asked those writers to take their people who thought they were just following to the places that committed the things we wanted to change and why. Some workers refused to answer but a fairly size numbers did express the changes they wanted and frankly they were being treated either unfairly or the leader would call the punishments out every half hour. And they also objected to the punishments calling for lack of water to drink.

BUT THIS IS IMPORTANT: EVERY LETTER WRITER SAID THEY DID NOT LIKE DONALD TRUMP FOR PRESIDENT.
