Truttmann: Jacobson’s the choice
Letter To The Editor

Dan Truttmann

Blanchardville

To the Editor:

Around Wisconsin, we are seeing the loss of family farms. As more farmers sell their land, farms are being consolidated into larger operations. Even small to medium farms like mine that try to do everything right are struggling.

If we want to see the family farm tradition in Wisconsin continue, we need to get creative with how we support our farmers. Jenna Jacobson is looking to do just that. Last session she introduced the Farming Forward bill that would encourage retiring farmers to sell their agricultural assets to beginning farmers. Her time on the Agriculture Committee and her commitment to learning about the needs of farmers has earned her the endorsements of the Corn Growers Association, Dairy Business Association, and Farm Bureau.

I have seen Jenna’s commitment to working for us after she attended one of our Town of York board meetings. We had questions that needed additional research and she helped us with that research. I’m confident that she will continue to work in a bipartisan way to benefit our District.

Please join me in voting to re-elect Jenna Jacobson to the Assembly.
