To the Editor:

Independence Day is on July 4, not on June 24.  Casey Jones, when he created his Family Fest, he hijacked Brodhead’s Independence Day Parade and activates.  In doing so, he unpatriotically killed an over 100 year community tradition.  He did so without even consulting the voters.  The Independence Day Parade and activities must be returned back to July 4 where they belong.
