To the Editor:

I would like to send a heartfelt thank you out to all the people that put food out by their mailbox on Saturday, May 10th, for the National Association of Letter Carriers 33rd annual “Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive”. It was a beautiful day, and we collected 3900 pounds of food that was delivered to the Green County Food Pantry, right here in Monroe. Hopefully this will help the food pantry make it through the summer, when school lunches are not available to children. Thank you to the city carriers that worked extra hard that day and especially thank you to all the wonderful volunteers that sorted all of the food at the Post Office.
