A huge “Thank You” to the Green County Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization and their sponsors for hosting a great Tour de Cheese on August 2nd! Returning to Monroe for my class reunion and getting the opportunity to pedal the great rural roads in Green County is special. The hospitality and friendliness of all the volunteers is always appreciated. The rest stops at Grande Cheese in Juda, Decatur Dairy outside of Brodhead and Silver Lewis Cheese outside of Monticello were wonderful (I consumed my fair share of some remarkable cheeses & curds)! A special thanks to the Bike Haus for laying out a fun and challenging 50-mile route and Mike (Purcell) for loaning me one of his personal bikes to ride that day. Hopefully more cyclists will participate next year to help support this worthy event!
