Pincus: Keep Musk’s hands off Wisconsin’s Supreme Court
Letter To The Editor

From Allen Pincus

Barneveld

To the Editor:

Elon Musk is seeking to gain influence over our Supreme Court by pouring huge sums of money into Brad Schimel’s campaign. In Schimel, Musk would have a willing ally on the Court to promote the MAGA agenda.

We need to elect Judge Susan Crawford who will protect reproductive freedom, voting rights, and fair maps from laws that violate Wisconsin’s Constitution.

Because Wisconsin is a swing state Trump won, the nation is closely watching this election. While lawsuits over Trump’s usurpation of the constitutional powers of Congress are slowly working their way through the Federal Courts, the Court of Public Opinion in Wisconsin will be issuing its own ruling April 1st. A rejection of Schimel will signal that in Wisconsin, Trump and Musk lack the popular support they claim.

If you do not like what you are watching in the news, now is the time to do something. If nothing else, make sure to Vote for Judge Crawford on April 1. This will be a close election, which can be won or lost by a handful of votes in each of the 1,854 towns, villages and cities in Wisconsin.   Make sure yours is one of the handful of votes that will insure a victory for Judge Crawford and social justice.
