Meirose: Write in for District 1 Board Supervisor
letter to the editor stock

From Sean Meirose

Monroe

To the Editor:

My name is Sean Meirose and I am running as a write-in District 1 candidate for the Green County Board of Supervisors.

Green County has a quality of life beyond any region of its size in Wisconsin, and perhaps the country. Small towns nationwide get smaller, with businesses leaving and high schoolers graduating only to return for Christmas. This is not the story in Green County. New businesses open every month. Public services are improving: new libraries, updated hospitals and clinics, new and renovated schools, and the recently finished YMCA renovation all speak to a community on the rise. Even as things change, the small-town charm and historic style remain.

The high quality of life here is the result of hard-working neighbors who care about the community and put in the work to help each other. My aim as a board supervisor is to give people all the support the county can provide them while acting as an effective steward of our tax dollars. I have over a decade of experience implementing large healthcare and information technology projects. When I hear the scale of upcoming project work here in Green County, such as the upcoming jail renovation, I want to apply my experience closer to home for the community I’ve grown to love.

I joined the Monroe Morning Optimists Club shortly after moving here in 2024. Every Thursday with breakfast, I am humbled to hear people from all walks of life in Green County talking about what they do best. As District 1 supervisor, I would do the same thing I do with the Optimists at breakfast every Thursday: listen to people who have built the great community we have around us today and those who are working to build it for the future.

I would be honored if you wrote in my name for District 1 board supervisor on Tuesday, April 7th. Thank you for your consideration and for being my neighbors.
