To the Editor:

I need to respond to a letter published recently. I ask that you Google your facts before you post. A large portion of U.S. Presidents have donated their salaries throughout history dating back to George Washington. 

What I would like to know, is he paying for his own health care for life? NO! Is he going to donate his entire salary for the rest of his life? Probably not! Is he going to dismiss his secret service detail assigned to him for the rest of his life? He is way too much of an egomaniac to do that! 

Please be aware that no President has become rich while in office. Their fortunes amass after they leave the office and enter back into private life. They receive huge sums of money for speaking engagements, book deals and probably from quid pro quo. But believe me that is not exclusive to Democrats. 

Trump has been judged as one of the worst presidents to ever hold the office. He believes he is smarter than anyone around him and rarely reads his daily briefing. He has plunged this country into an economic mess and has failed to protect the citizens of these United States from a pandemic, that by any standards the U.S. is doing worse than any country in the world. He has consistently lied to anyone who will listen and has bullied, name called, and encouraged right wing activists to act out against other citizens. 

He has planted the seed of dissention in people by making them believe that Democrat means socialist and that Democrat’s will take your guns and raise your taxes. No they will not! They will raise taxes on anyone making more than $400,000 per year, so if that is you please respond to this and tell me how tough you have it. They will make it more difficult to purchase guns of mass destruction, but will not be knocking on your door. Also the last time I checked, the Democrat and the Socialist parties (yes there is a Socialist Party) are two different entities. Please make good decisions before you vote and by all means VOTE!!!
