To the Editor:

My opinion is that the liberal media, politicians, and persons have accepted a woke lie. Stop and think! Use the logic that tells you that when someone kills an individual, it is a PERSON that has committed an illegal act. If someone steals something from a store, bank, or someone else, it is a PERSON that has committed the illegal act. When someone crossed the border into the U.S. without proper documentation, it is a PERSON that has committed an illegal act. All the laws that have been written and legislated can only be broken by a PERSON which includes such laws as jaywalking and speeding.

The people of Monroe and the country will be voting this year for politicians to run the government. We as voters should look closely to the candidate that are vying for the available positions. Should we as voters elect those who wish to overlook criminal activity? Are they individuals who are aiding and abetting criminal activity which is an illegal act?

I urge all voters to get out and vote. It does count.
