Kline: Even for Green County Supervisor District 2
Letter To The Editor

From Jocelyn Kline

Monroe

To the Editor:

My friend Melissa Even is a candidate for the Green County Board of Supervisors in the second district. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about Melissa and why she would make a great County Supervisor.

She is the Executive Director of the Monroe Chamber of Commerce and Industry and has been since 2017. Her duties there include operational management, employee training, public relations, community outreach and membership development of the Chamber among other things.

She’s a highly motivated and creative person who lends enthusiasm to the chamber membership and board of directors. She’s a civic minded, caring person who works in and for her community. She is the Treasurer of the City of Monroe Redevelopment Authority, the Vice President of the Green County Family YMCA, Co-Chair of the Green County Healthy Community Coalition and Housing committee. She served on Family Promise, the Literacy Council, is a member of Monroe Women’s Club and a graduate of Green County Leaders in 2016.

One thing I admire about Melissa is her ability to compromise and her ability to work to resolve tough issues. She has wonderful interpersonal skills that serve her well in this capacity. I believe these are all skills that will help Melissa serve the County Board and people of Green County. Melissa lives in Monroe with her rescue Beagle, Winnie the Pooch. Her family includes two grown children, Jalen and Alex, and when she isn’t too busy, she loves to hike and golf.

I want to encourage everyone to get out and vote. Your vote for Melissa will be a vote for Green County and our communities.
