To the Editor:

While we appreciate the local sports in the Monroe Times, we would also like to know what’s going on with the national sports such as baseball and football.

It’s been over two weeks since the end of the World Series and we have yet to read in the Monroe Times who won the baseball championship. Incidentally, it was 4 games to 2, the Houston Astros over the Philadelphia Phillies.

Also, in football, the Green Bay Packers have been playing for more than a couple of months and we have read nothing in The Monroe Times. 

It would be nice if they would cover both but it’s not happening in The Monroe Times. It would be nice if they would have a sports editor that would do this as has been done in other years.
