To the Editor:
I strongly endorse Terri Montgomery for the Monroe School Board. She brings a wealth of experience, deep educational expertise, and a longstanding commitment to the Monroe community to this role.
Since 2001, Terri has earned multiple degrees and licensures in education, including certifications in Special Education and as a Reading Specialist, as well as advanced doctoral-level work in curriculum and instruction, pupil services, and education administration. Over her 20-year career with the School District of Monroe (2001—2021), she served in a variety of impactful roles — from special education teacher to district reading specialist, gifted and talented coordinator, and ultimately director of curriculum and instruction.
Terri’s professional background reflects both classroom insight and district-level leadership, giving her a well-rounded understanding of the needs of students, families, and educators. Now retired, she remains deeply invested in the success of Monroe’s schools.
A Monroe resident since 1993, Terri has also demonstrated a strong commitment to the community through her involvement in local organizations and her volunteer and leadership contributions.
Terri Montgomery is highly qualified and dedicated to serving our schools with integrity and experience. I encourage you to vote for her in the Monroe School Board election on April 7, 2026.
