To the Editor:

To the landlords and property managers of Monroe, I would like to know why you are so against pet owners in this city. I have never had such a huge issue with finding a house to rent, simply because I own a 7 lb dog. Surely, charging an upfront pet deposit and small monthly fee would allay your fears about any possible damage. I’m sure you’ve realized, too, that children cause quite a bit of damage, and I have not seen any properties that do not allow them. (Yes, I am being sarcastic.) I am honestly having to consider giving up my job here in Monroe, to find a place to live elsewhere. Please reconsider your pet policies.
