Donovan: Raising awareness about the Sons of the American Legion
Letter To The Editor

From Paul Donovan

Monroe

To the Editor:

I am writing this letter to raise awareness about the Sons of the American Legion in hopes of expanding the membership.

Since becoming a volunteer at the American Legion I have had the honor of serving as the Financial Officer for the Sons of the American Legion. The Sons of the American Legion is a non-profit organization open to all men who has had fathers, grandfathers and great grand fathers including adopted, step and biological who have served honorably in World War 1 and since December 7th 1941. Back in World War 2 11% of the population served in the armed forces that number has dropped to 1% or less. As the number drops those of us with relatives who have served have an honor and duty to carry on the legacy of their family members and to help serve the veterans and the veterans community’s.

The Sons of the American Legion has a rich history in serving the American Legion, veterans and veterans communities and we are inviting all male decadents who match the criteria to participate in the Sons of the American Legion in Monroe.

I Thank You for the opportunity to raise awareness for the Sons of the American Legion.
