Dickson: Candidacy for District 10 County Board of Supervisors
Letter To The Editor

From Katy Christensen Dickson

Browntown

To the Editor:

Dear Residents of Cadiz Township, Browntown, Southern Jordan Township,

Growing up on a Green County dairy farm and now running a produce farm of my own, I am well aware of the beauty and unique place in which we live. Green County is a special place, built on neighbors helping neighbors and people who care deeply about where they live. Over the years, I have had the privilege of being involved in volunteer organizations like 4-H, Optimists, local schools, and community events. Through that work, I have seen firsthand the generosity, dedication, and resilience of the people in our county. Those experiences have strengthened my commitment to serving our community in a larger capacity.

I am running for County Board Supervisor, representing District 10: Cadiz Township, a portion of Jordan township, as well as the Village of Browntown. I want to support the community that has given so much to me and my family. I believe local government works best when it listens to residents, respects differing viewpoints, and focuses on practical solutions that benefit everyone.

If elected, I will bring a commitment to civility, integrity, and clear communication. Green County deserves leadership that is transparent, thoughtful, and willing to work collaboratively. I believe we can have respectful conversations, even when we disagree, and still move forward together.

My goal is simple: to represent our District 10 with honesty, to listen carefully to residents, and to make decisions that help our county remain a strong and welcoming place to live, work, and raise a family.

Please exercise your right to vote on April 7th!
