Monroe

To the Editor:

I am writing to extend my gratitude to all those in Monroe who work to provide engaging summer programming for our youth. This summer, my daughters had the opportunity to participate in the summer reading program and teen late night at the Monroe Public Library, a theatre camp at the Monroe Theatre Guild, youth art classes at the Monroe Arts Center, activities provided through the Parks and Rec program, and a variety of classes during summer school through the school district. All of these programs were led by adults and teenagers who demonstrated enthusiasm and care for the kids, and I find it heartening to know that there are so many dedicated to supporting and encouraging our youth through these diverse opportunities and activities. To all of the coordinators, teachers, support staff, and volunteers: thank you for all you do for our youth and our community!
