To the Editor:
As a parent, community member, and volunteer in our schools, I strongly support Jim Curran, Teresa Keehn, and Phil Vosberg for the Monroe School Board. Jim, Teresa, and Phil are vital members of the community with a proven commitment to our schools. I have observed them as community volunteers for the mock interviews for the MHS career communications classes, at school events supporting our students, and out in the community volunteering. Jim Curran is an educator who taught fourth grade and works with Teach for America. He understands education. Teresa Keehn has taught and been a principal before moving back to Monroe. She volunteers throughout the community on Healthy Communities Coalition, Kiwanis, and in community outreach for the United Way. She understands education. Mr. Vosberg recruits and distributes the local awards for the Knights of Columbus math and spelling contests. Mr. Vosberg understands education. All three have been proven leaders in our schools and on the board.
