To the Editor:
Election year is upon us and the decision to vote for local public servants is at hand.
This year the voters of Monroe have the privilege of electing a member of Generation Z to represent and serve them.
Carson Eddy is a native of Monroe who grew up in the community in a family of 7.
Carson is a smart home school educated young man who knows the value of faith, family and conservatism.
More impressively is Carson younger than 30 is a business owner right near “The Square”.
The owner of “The Green Dragon” an impressive traditionally masculine barbershop where Carson provides a great service to the men of Green County in cutting hair in the most professional of a manner while providing a truly traditional masculine experience of comfort and dignity.
In the service he provides he also provides a social opportunity to the customers he cuts hair for.
In that chair he gives the men the opportunity to vent and discuss the topics and issues that impact them on a daily basis.
In doing so he forms a good customer relationship and friendship with each man who walks through the door.
If there is anyone worthy of giving the keys to a public service position to it is Carson Eddy.
Carson is in touch with the issues of our time and community from all the conversations he has with his customers.
Carson at a young age understands the stakes that the younger generation in America faces and further understands that the decisions he makes, he will see and live through the consequences of, as he is younger than 30, not 80 with years of political titles with nothing to show for and less years remaining to witness the consequences.
Carson is taking a brave step to run for public office in a crucially historic time in our country and I endorse his candidacy and wish him well.
