Goodness gracious. The guest column that District Attorney Craig Nolen wrote regarding the candidates for Green County Judge was over the top. That kind of negative campaigning cannot become our way of doing business when it comes to electing judges. I’m voting for Jane Bucher. I know Jane personally and know her to be fair, honest, hardworking, and dedicated to the law. You may have heard about her unmatched courtroom and legal experience. She’s handled over 2,300 cases, which is a lot, and of the same kind this judge will hear. You should also know that she is deeply involved in our community and someone who goes the extra mile to work with others to get things done. She was a founding member, and continues to be a member of the Green County MultiCultural Outreach Program (MCOP) and volunteers with Green County Big Brothers Big Sisters. She was instrumental in creating the Green County Criminal Justice Coordinating Council which brings people in the criminal justice system together to help improve that system. Jane is forward thinking and I like that. Jane Bucher will be tough and fair, she’ll apply the law in an unbiased way, she’ll act with integrity, and she’ll do her part to make our County safer and better for everyone. I urge my fellow Green County residents to join me in voting for her on February 16. County MultiCultural Outreach Program (MCOP) and volunteers with Green County Big Brothers Big Sisters.
