Bristow: Compare candidates in their own words
Letter To The Editor

From Tracy Bristow

Monroe

To the Editor:

Thanks to the Monroe times for publishing so many letters to the editor about the race for Green County Judge. I am supporting Jane Bucher. It has been disappointing to see that some people choose to disparage instead of sticking to why they support the other candidate. But, you don’t have to depend on the views of any letter writer because the Monroe Times also ran long articles that gave the candidates themselves the chance to share about their careers, their values, and their backgrounds. The article about Jane says, “She has represented individuals in more than 2,300 cases in circuit court, experience that she says makes her an ideal candidate for Green County’s courts. “As a public defender, I’m in court every day,” she said. “Because I’ve handled so many cases, I have seen what works in a courtroom and what could be improved on.” But Bucher hasn’t just seen what can be done to improve the county’s courts, she’s worked to bring those improvements to the courtroom already.” I recommend everyone read the articles in the March 20 edition and compare the candidates for yourself. Jane Bucher has extensive experience in the very courtroom she will be presiding over. She has a proven record of working with others to get things done. I hope you’ll join me in voting for her as our next Judge in Green County on April 6.

The deadline to submit a Letter to the Editor regarding the April 6 election was Wednesday, March 24. Letters submitted after the deadline will not be published.

No Letters to the Editor regarding the election will be published in the Wednesday, March 31 or Saturday, April 3 editions of the Monroe Times.
