Boy Scouts of America Troop 91: Troop 91 Thanks Community for Strong Support of Annual Pancake Supper
Letter To The Editor

From Boy Scouts of America Troop 91

Lena

To the Editor:

Scouts BSA Troop 91 extends its sincere thanks to the Lena community and surrounding area for the tremendous support shown at this year’s annual Pancake Supper. The event was a great success, with nearly 300 people served during an evening that highlighted community spirit, generosity, and support for local Scouting.

In addition to the meal, guests supported the Troop through baked goods prepared by the Scouts and through a silent auction and direct contributions from area businesses and community members. Troop 91 is especially grateful for the many businesses and individuals whose generosity helped make the evening possible, including:

Accurate Art & Framing, Adkins Energy, AJ’s Lena Maid Meats, Black Iris Design, Bocker Group, Brewster Cheese, Brinker Tire & Auto, Inc., Café 217, Clark & Diffenderfer Tax & Accounting Services, Community Bank, Country Companies, Country Financial, Deer Run Farms, Edler Plumbing, Engle’s Jewelry & Clock Repair, Evelyn Herman, Head 2 Toe, Heid Repair, Lena Fire Department, Lena Park District, Lena State Bank, Liles Chiropractic, Marvin Uecker Agency, Simply Mouse Vacations, Stephenson Service Company FS, Sullivan’s Foods, and Welcome Home.

Troop 91 also extends a special thank you to the American Legion Sprague-Inman Post, the Troop’s Chartered Organization, for use of the hall and for its continued support of Scouting in Lena, Orangeville, and the surrounding communities.

The Scouts worked hard to make the event a success by selling tickets, preparing the hall, helping in the kitchen, and serving guests throughout the evening. Their efforts reflect the values of Scouting and the leadership skills they continue to build through service and hands-on experience.

Troop 91 has grown to more than 20 young men who are developing citizenship, outdoor skills, and leadership through Scouting. Proceeds from the Pancake Supper will go directly back to the Scouts and the unit to support camping, advancement, and program needs throughout the year. A significant portion of the Troop’s summer camp experience will be covered through the success of this event as the Scouts prepare to attend Canyon Camp in Stockton this summer.

Troop 91 is deeply grateful for the community’s continued encouragement and investment in local youth. Thank you for helping make this year’s Pancake Supper such a memorable and impactful success.
