To the Editor:

I was at the Democratic booth at the Lafayette County Fair the other day and saw Senator Marklein at the Republican booth. He didn’t realize or remember that he represents ALL of the people in his district, and never bothered to visit with us. He even had his back to us. Gerrymandering tends to keep you in your “silo” since you don’t have to worry about being re-elected by fair maps or fair voting. Next time you hear him use the word bi-partisan, call him out for the partisan that he is. Senator Marklein, You should refund your salary and benefits, since you aren’t bringing the legislature back until January and you haven’t met except to gavel in and out for a few minutes in the Governor-called legislative sessions. Pay us back for your long paid vacation and disregard for denying issues for this, your district.
