Bennett: Town of Sylvester has a choice for Town Board
Letter To The Editor

From Catrina Bennett

Town of Sylvester

To the Editor:

Society is dominated by choice. Where you want to eat, what you want to wear, who you want to vote for, where you want to live―why is it then, that when you want to attend your local town board meeting, you can’t be treated with dignity and respect.

It seems intuitive that I should be able to attend my local town board meeting and ask questions about tax increases, the budget and road maintenance issues without being treated like a nuisance from my town board supervisors.

The current town board supervisors consider anyone asking questions to be uninformed and not worthy of their time. Perhaps this is because they do not have good answers or answers that represent the desires of the residents.

Well, we have a choice this April 4th to take back our town board and vote for candidates who will listen to our concerns.  Terry Reed and Dale Howarth are running for Town Board to help lower our taxes.

Those of us who live in the Town of Sylvester, and quite frankly Green County, deserve local candidates who will treat the voters with respect, consideration, and honesty.

Join me in voting for new leadership in Sylvester Township.
