Assembly agitators and assumptions
Letter To The Editor

From Tom Fey

Monroe

To the Editor:

At the recent No Kings rally on the south side of the courthouse square on Saturday afternoon a few Trump supporters shouted insults at speakers and waved Maga signs and flags on the outskirts of the three hundred person strong assembly. I, like many others ignored their presence, but stood in front of their propaganda signs. While I stood in front of one particular rude agitator a friend asked what his flag said. I told my friend I couldn’t really tell but he looked like a Nazi. In reply the fellow in back of me said “Yes and I am proud of my German heritage,” as he proudly waved his Trump flag.

I took his statement as admitting to Nazi tendencies. If I misinterpreted him he should feel free to publicly deny it. I took some pictures and video of the agitators for future reference. The police did a welcome service by limiting these people access to the main part of our rally. I would like to thank the Monroe Police for their help in maintaining our civil rights.
